Welcome to the Midland Canal Club!

The Midland Canal Club is a voluntary organisation in the Midlands (in the UK), whose members share an interest in canals. We have a number of formal objectives, which are about promoting, organising and enjoying canal-related activities.

We have have a chairman, a secretary and a treasurer (as the law requires us to), but we are an open group and all are welcome to join the committee. Organisational contributions are welcomed from anyone - for example, organising a walk, providing entertainment, looking after some paperwork, etc., etc., and we're grateful to the many members who have taken such things on.

Our new website

You have found our new website - great ! Postage is so expensive now and the internet is accessible to all so this has to be a development we get used to. Please be patient with us as we are still putting things on the site. We have been unable to link all the links to members of the committee as yet because we do not know who these people will be until after our forthcoming AGM ( which you can read about on the Events Page and in the February 2010 Bailed Out).
