The Midland Canal Club is a voluntary organisation, based in the Midlands (in the UK), and whose members share an interest in canals. We have a number of formal objectives, which can be boiled down to promoting, organising and enjoying canal-related activities.
We have have a chairman, a secretary and a treasurer (the law requires us to), but we are an open group and all are welcome to join the committee. Organisational contributions are welcomed from anyone—for example, organising a walk, providing entertainment, looking after some paperwork, etc., etc., and we're grateful to the many members who have taken such things on.
